The unit (1) has a hammer loaded by clamping of a mechanical spring such as flat spring (12) i.e. flat spring packet. Spring length of the flat spring is adjusted, and an adjusting mechanism comprises a radially adjustable adjusting element (19). A section of the flat spring is guided into the adjusting element. An actuating element (22) causes radial adjustment of the adjusting element during rotation of the actuation element. The flat spring is aligned perpendicular to a hammer axis. An end of the spring is attached to a body of the hammer.
