The device has a body scale for measuring weight of a human, and a surface surrounding the body scale. The body scale is at a level i.e. non-projecting or non-deepened level, in which the surface is embedded. The surface is designed to be a seating surface of a seating furniture i.e. chair, or a walkable surface of a floor i.e. toilet floor. The body scale includes a battery, a piezoelectric element, a power supply, an accumulator, a Peltier element or an inductive charging station for supply of energy. A radio frequency identification (RFID) chip is provided in the device.
