The package has a casing (1), a side wall element (3) and a base element (4), where the base element and the side wall element are designed as a common extrusion molded part that is formed during an extrusion molding process. A holding-/fixing element is provided for fixing a beverage bottle (2), and is arranged inside the casing. A cooling element (6) is arranged inside the casing. The base element, the side wall element, the holding-/fixing element, the cooling element and a covering element (5) are made of plastic or metal. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing an outer package for a beverage bottle.
