The method involves guiding a portion of sieve goods (SG) with a specific grain size into a sieving tray (11) as a sieving throughput (SD). The portion of sieve goods is discharged from the tray using water. A needle-felt mat (13) is detachably arranged in the tray. Large parts of heavy goods fine particles are settled and adhered in the needle-felt mat, where a fabric mat (16) is arranged over the needle-felt mat. The needle-felt mat enriched with the heavy goods fine particles is removed, rinsed and processed such that the heavy goods fine particles are separated from the needle-felt mat. The needle-felt mat is made of rubber or a rubbery elastic plastic. An independent claim is also included for a device for isolation of heavy goods fine particles from the granular sieve goods, comprises a sieving box.
