The method involves determining whether a stationary, quasi-stationary or non-stationary condition with respect to voltage or rotational speed of an electric motor of an actuator is present. A value of an actuator reinforcement factor is determined for stationary transmission characteristics of the actuator using a least square process based on the determination result. Another value of actuator reinforcement factor is determined using another process. Determination is made that a parameter value is wrongly identified when a difference between the values exceeds a preset threshold value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product with a computer program for executing a method for checking plausibility of an identified parameter value of an actuator model (2) a device for checking plausibility of an identified parameter value of an actuator model, comprising a controlling device.
