The device has a screw (1) accommodated in a bearing bush (5), which is connected with an element, and an elongated hole (4) with depth and diameter larger than the diameter of the screw. The bearing bush is provided on an expandable clamping element (2) i.e. bar, in connection with an inner wall of the elongated hole. A fixing arrangement stays in connection with the inner wall of the elongated hole in the expandable clamping element. The screw is arranged in a predetermined pivot axis (S) of the elongated hole. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a steering column holder comprising a height adjustable steering column (2) a positioning-and joining process for play-free fixation of an axle element i.e. screw, in a recess of a holding section.
