The method involves abrading hair using an abrasive surface (5) and a non-abrasive surface, where the surface (5) includes abrasive particles (8) e.g. boron nitride, fixed on a support (7) and possesses hardness greater than or equal to 3 on Mohs scale and modulus of elasticity greater than or equal to 4 Giga Pascal. The surfaces are provided in contact with the hair during abrasion, where one of the surfaces acts on the hair through abrasion. The non-abrasive surface is used for applying a cosmetic product on the hair, where the support is made of metal, ceramic and mineral glass. An independent claim is also included for a hair treatment kit comprising a set of supports.
