The fairing has a flexible transparent membrane seal or plate (4) made of molded plastic material, and partially closing a recess that is formed in a motor vehicle body for housing a wheel (2). The seal has rectilinear lower and curved edges (5, 6) that adapt the shape of a contour of the recess with a thin body covering zone in a peripheral region (7). The seal has an inner face with disconnecting fixation units gripped on a U-shaped return pipe formed by the body at the level of the contour for locking the zone on the body, where the units are constituted of latches (16, 17).
