The pointer has a series of icons inserted on a screen of an audio-visual apparatus such as TV (3), by a product to represent tuning functions of the apparatus, when a finger of a user draws a chosen form of wakefulness, such as circle, in fields of a visual sensor (1). Movements of the finger are copied by the pointer so as to roll over the functions. A microprocessor device has a storage unit for storing the chosen form of wakefulness, and visual information to be used. The form of wakefulness is predefined by the user using a keyboard connected to the product.
