The beam (26) has fixation units i.e. rods (60, 62), to mount the beam on right and left longerons (4, 6) in respective orientations, for positioning corresponding surfaces (34, 36) of the beam defining load thresholds of rear boots of vehicles at corresponding levels with respect to a horizontal reference plane (P). One of the levels is different from the other level, and one of the orientations is obtained from the other orientation by rotating the beam about 180 degrees around a median axis (C) of the beam, where the median axis is parallel to a longitudinal axis (X) of a chassis (2).
