The assembly has an accessory with a post (10) and an end fitting (4) that assembles the post of the accessory and a column (5) of a chassis of a trailer. A screwing unit (35) i.e. screw, maintains the post on the column, and the end fitting includes cooperation units permitting cooperation of the end fitting with the screwing unit to engender locking of the accessory on the column along an axis (X) of the post. The cooperation units include a threaded bore extending along the axis of the post. The screwing unit is extended inside the column along the axis of the post.
