The structure has a structure reinforcement arranged with two interior longerons (9a, 9b) extending in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle. A housing is integrated with the structure to receive an energy storage element (13) e.g. battery. The two interior longerons form a part of side walls of the housing, where the interior longerons are constituted by plates with a U-shaped cross section comprising an interior branch (38) and a vertical external branch (39). Two cross-pieces are respectively fixed at sides of the housing.
