PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute appropriate inferences, even when input information is insufficient.;SOLUTION: A Bayesian network model 21A includes one or more knowledge variables (21b) with expert knowledge regarding correlation between one or more result variables (21d) and one or more factor variables (21a) described therein, and one or more detail variables (21c) with details of the result variables (21d) described therein. Furthermore, each of the variables is constituted, such that it has dependency onto the one or more knowledge variables (21b) from each of the factor variables (21a), dependency onto the one or more detail variables (21c) from the one or more knowledge variables (21b), and dependence on each of the result variables (21d) from the one or more detail variables (21c). An inference unit 12 sets, as evidence, the values of either or both of the result variables (21d) and the detail variables (21c), in response to one or more items of input information provided from an input unit 30 to calculate probabilities of each of the factor variables (21a) by means of inference depending on a Bayesian network.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
