PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chapter setting device that compensates the deviation of setting chapter caused by user's reaction time and sets a chapter start frame in the frame that the user wants at first.;SOLUTION: The chapter setting device includes: reference frame setting means (control section 111) that sets a frame that constitutes a content and is under reproduction at the timing of specification by user, as a reference frame; a calculation means (control section 111) that finds out the number of compensation frames according to the reproduction speed of the content; a start frame setting means (control section 111) that sets a frame away by the number of the compensation frames from the reference frame, as a start frame of the chapter; and a chapter information storage means (memory section 112) that stores chapter information for regulating the start frame.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
