PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus capable of analyzing a proper incoherent lead enabling a mold for a hypoid gear and the hypoid gear to perform twist rotation without generating interference, a computer readable recording medium having a program for realizing the analyzing method recorded thereon, a method for manufacturing a mold for the hypoid gear of high accuracy, and a release method for releasing the mold for the hypoid gear and the hypoid gear without generating interference. ;SOLUTION: The proper incoherent lead not allowing the hypoid gear and a mold to interfere with each other is discovered to solve the subject of the purpose. A lead range on the side of an acceleration surface and a lead range on the side of a deceleration surface from the inner diameter side of a tooth surface to the outer diameter side thereof are extracted from the shape model of the tooth surface, to calculate an incoherent lead range not interfering with both of the acceleration surface and the deceleration surface from these lead ranges, and the proper incoherent lead is selected from the incoherent lead range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
