PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it has conventionally been impossible to obtain conditions about one or more telephones including an IP telephone.;SOLUTION: A telephone investigation device is equipped with: a telephone-number storage unit 1 to store one or more telephone numbers; an auto-dial unit which reads the telephone number from the telephone-number storage unit, and calls up the telephone directed by the telephone number through an auto dial; an information receiver which receives an information about a condition before initiating communication, from either or more of one or more devices including the SIP server through the auto dial operated by the auto-dial unit; a communication breaker to break the communication after the information receiver receives the information about the condition before initiating the communication; and an outputting unit to output the condition of the telephone corresponding to the telephone number, using the information received by the information receiver about the condition before initiating the communication.
