PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a stress corrosion crack (SCC) specimen for conducting an appropriate SCC test without being affected by a load history at fatigue precrack introduction time.;SOLUTION: The present invention introduces fatigue precracks in the method for manufacturing the stress corrosion crack specimen having a residual stress so that a maximum stress intensity factor K0max at fatigue precrack introduction time to be given by the residual stress and a stress to be added at fatigue precrack introduction time becomes equal to or lower than a stress intensity factor K1 at test start time to be given by a stress to be added as a test condition and the residual stress.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
