PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas monitoring system of a thermal power plant capable of checking whether a gas analyzer for analyzing the concentration of NOx or SOx analyzes properly exhaust gas introduced from an exhaust passage or not, and heightening reliability of exhaust gas monitoring.;SOLUTION: This exhaust gas monitoring system of the thermal power plant is equipped with the gas analyzer for analyzing each concentration of NOx and SOx, a determination means for determining whether each concentration of NOx and SOx is higher than an environmental quality standard value or not, and a notice means for noticing to be abnormal when it is determined that the concentration of NOx or SOx is higher than the environmental quality standard value. The determination means is constituted so as to determine whether the concentration of SOx is lower than a standard value at a normal operation time which is set below the environmental quality standard value or not based on an analysis result by the gas analyzer. The notice means is constituted so as to notice to be abnormal when it is determined that the concentration of SOx is lower than the standard value by the determination means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
