OPPORTUNISTIC BEAM FORMING AND SCHEDULING FOR USER IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a beam to be generated for a user.;SOLUTION: A user can be selected from a user population based on parameters that are tracked for each user in the user population, and a beam preferred by the selected user can be determined. The beam generated by a base station can be used to transmit a pilot signal to the user population. The base station can run a scheduling algorithm and schedule a user based on a feedback received from all the users in the user population, and transmit the information to the user scheduled using the generated beam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
