PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus capable of preventing the stop of an electric generator by brake control.;SOLUTION: An electronic control type mechanical timepiece of this electronic apparatus is provided with the electric generator 2 for generating power by being driven by a spiral spring 1, and a rotation control device 50 for controlling a rotation period of the generator 2 by being driven by its electric energy. The control device 50 is equipped with: a brake control device 55 for executing the brake control of the generator 2 by comparing a reference signal fs with a rotation detection signal FG1 corresponding to the rotation period of the generator 2; and a generator stop prevention means 56 for preventing the stop of the generator 2 by setting the braking amount of the generator 2 to a first brake set value when the rotation period of the generator 2 is not less than a first set period longer than a reference period. When the rotation period of the generator 2 is increased, the generator 2 is controlled by the first brake set value.
