PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation field formation material, unit and method dispensing with special equipment and apparatus, having no problem of environmental impacts and forming a radiation field in radiotherapy by a simple and easy-to-handle means; and consequently to provide a radiation shielding device easily and surely irradiating the radiation to an affected part alone and preventing sites other than the affected part from being irradiated.;SOLUTION: This radiation field formation material A is provided with a container 1 formed of a radiolucent material and having an opening part 1a, a radiolucent member 2 having a shape fitted to the radiation field and mounted inside the container 1, a radiopaque powder body 3 filling the container 1 mounted with the radiolucent member 2, and a lid body 4 formed of a radiolucent material and openably sealing the opening part 1a of the container 1; the radiation field forming unit can create the radiation field formation material A; and the radiation shielding device uses the radiation field forming method and the radiation field forming material A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
