PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating an electrostatographic printer for removing a curl of a sheet in an electrophotographic printer.;SOLUTION: This method operates the electrostatographic printer having an electric charge receiving body, a transfer station for forming a transfer zone associated to this electric charge receiving body, and a controllable curl remover for removing the curl of the sheet on the downstream side of the transfer station. The method is characterized by including controlling of the curl remover at least partially based on voltage by monitoring the voltage generated by controlling the transfer station.
