PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-sizing cutter device which can easily change the number of disk-shaped cutters to correspond to the width size of lumber and a method for changing the number of the cutters.;SOLUTION: In the in-sizing cutter device 1, a plurality of the disk-shaped cutters having a plurality of cutting edges 2a formed at prescribed intervals in the peripheral direction in the peripheral parts and an attachment shaft part 3 fitted with a plurality of the disk-shaped cutters 2 are provided. The attachment shaft part 3 is inserted into an attachment hole A formed in the central part of a plurality of the disk-shaped cutters 2. A plurality of the disk-shaped cutters 2 are piled/fitted in the shaft direction of the attachment shaft part 3. To the attachment shaft part 3, a spacer member 4 which is formed annularly and can be divided into a plurality of parts in the peripheral direction is attached, while the attachment shaft part 3 is inserted into its central hole.
