PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-8-OHdG monoclonal antibody having sufficiently high specificity to 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine 8-OHdG which is an oxidation decomposition product of DNA and provide a hybridoma producing the monoclonal antibody.;SOLUTION: The anti-8-OHdG monoclonal antibody is produced by a hybridoma obtained by fusing an iliac lymph node cell of a rat immunized with 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine to a mouse myeloma cell. The 50% inhibition concentration with 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine is ≤1/1,000 of the 50% inhibition concentration of any nucleoside selected from a group consisting of 2'-deoxyguanosine, 2'-deoxyadenosine, 2'-deoxyinosine, 8-bromoguanosine and guanosine.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
