PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify users of the dissolution of a traffic congestion at the time when the congestion has started to dissolve by monitoring the length of the congestion at a previously registered point of congestion monitoring.;SOLUTION: A road traffic information guidance system is provided with: a monitoring point registering means 372 for registering monitoring points for monitoring congestions at a desired road; a congestion length monitoring means 373 for making reference to a road traffic information database 36 at prescribed time intervals and monitoring the lengths of congestions at the monitoring points; a monitoring length registering means 371 for registering the monitored lengths of congestions at the monitoring points; and a notifying means (congestion dissolution notifying means) 33 for notifying road traffic information at the monitoring points. The congestion length monitoring means 373 compares the monitored lengths of congestions registered to the monitoring points with the lengths of congestions at the monitoring points and notifies a terminal device 20 of the dissolution of the congestions in the case that it is detected that the lengths of the congestions have become shorter than the monitored lengths of the congestions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
