PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name resolution system which can prevent concentration of load to a particular DNS (domain name system) server while it can prevent a pharming fraud.;SOLUTION: The name resolution system is composed by providing a selection server which selects the most optimal DNS server for taking over a terminal domain name resolution request from a plurality of DNS servers. The selection server is composed to collect load information which represents processing load of each DNS server, at the same time collectively to receive a domain resolution request from terminals, to establish a secure communication channel with the terminal, then select the most optimal DNS server based on distance information which represents a network distance between the terminal and each DNS server and load information collected from each DNS server, and to notify the address of the selected DNS server to the terminals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
