PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator who operates a terminal to determine readily and with high accuracy whether the user of an authentication card is the holder of the card himself.;SOLUTION: A card authentication terminal 3 includes an image processing means 14 for restoring an authentication image by using a target image consisting of an image different from an authentication image to certify a holder himself; target feature information partially defining the characteristics configurations of the target image; a deformed authentication image being an image obtained by deforming the authentication image so that it can approach the target image according to a prescribed deformation rate, by using an image morphing technology, a deformation rate; and image restoring key information consisting of the deformation feature information partially defining the characteristic configurations of the deformed authentication image; and an image reading means 11 for performing reading processing of the deformed authentication image, from the authentication card on whose card surface the deformed authentication image has been printed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
