PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress corrosion crack mitigation method of a reactor structure material capable of suppressing increase of a dose rate by N-16, and suppressing easily increase of an electric conductivity generated by by-products. PSOLUTION: Hydrazine or hydrazine and hydrogen are injected into reactor water of a boiling water type nuclear power plant until ammonia is generated, and the injection quantity into the reactor water of a compound discharging anions and oxonium ions by action of heat or a radiation is adjusted based on the ammonia concentration. Hereby, the electric conductivity which is one factor for accelerating a stress corrosion crack can be reduced, and the stress corrosion crack of the reactor structure material can be suppressed, and the operation rate of the nuclear power plant can be improved.
