PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain newsprint paper for offset printing use good in ink adhesion and strike-through proofness in offset printing operation and high in MD (machine direction) stiffness, and to provide a method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: The newsprint paper for offset printing use subjected to acidic or neutral papermaking, slight in the decline of paper thickness and MD stiffness and good in ink adhesion and strike-through proofness, is obtained by the following process: uncalendered paper for the objective newsprint paper is treated with a metallic roll and a shoe roll having an elastic resin endless belt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
