PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally select cable sizes and cable routes in plant cable wiring design. PSOLUTION: This plant cable wiring design support system 101 is provided with a cable way material model database 111 in which the routes and sizes of cable way materials for laying cables are described; an electrical machinery and apparatus database 103 in which property data such as rated capacity of electrical machinery and apparatus installed in a plant, and start-arrival point data of cables for supplying power to the electrical machinery and apparatus are described; a cable route selecting means 134 obtaining a shortest cable route within the tolerance based on the routes of the cable way material and start-arrival point data of cables; a cable size selecting means 135 obtaining the cable size based on the shortest cable route and at least a voltage drop allowed value of the cable which is input and set; and a cable way material size selecting means 136 determining the propriety of the size of the cable way material based on the cable size and a space factor of the cable way material which is input and set, and outputting a determined result.
