PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and accurately inspecting the pressure resistance performance of a heat exchanger.;SOLUTION: The method is used for inspecting the pressure resistance performance of the heat exchanger 1 in which a plurality of flat heat exchange pipes having an internal junction section are provided in parallel, and a corrugated fin is arranged the draft gap between adjacent heat exchange pipes. The inside of the heat exchanger 1 is pressurized. Light is emitted from one side of the draft direction of the heat exchanger 1 each before and after the pressurization. The same portion of the heat exchanger 1 is imaged by a CCD camera 43 from a plurality of directions at the opposite side in the same manner for obtaining a plurality of monochrome images of the same portion. Gray processing is performed to each monochrome image and each monochrome image is divided into a plurality of dots. The binarization of white and black portions is performed to luminance information at each dot by a prescribed threshold, and the number of black portions is counted. The pressure resistance of the heat exchanger 1 is determined from an increase in the number of the black portions after the pressurization to the number of black portions before the pressurization in each image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
