PROCESSING OF MICRONUTRIENTS TABLETS AS NATURAL HEALTH SUPPLEMENT FROM INDIAN KELP (SEA WEEDS) FOR LARGER RURAL POPULATION

摘要

The present work is aimed at utilization of unexploited east coastal seaweeds, (brown algae) which is a rich source of essential micronutrients, a key for keeping good health of human beings, is analyzed for the resources and complimented with the nutrients, wherever it is below the limits of requirement for human beings and processed into tablets for the benefit of common man in the society a part of other strata. Herbal powders do pose some problems in processing into tablets, followed by quality control analysis and in passing through the quality control tests. All these technical problems are studied, experimented and solved with solutions, in order to get the quality tables. Thus (I) the unexploited seaweeds are brought into light, for the utilization of human beings, which is very useful to maintain their good health, thereby helping the common man with micronutrients. (2) The processing problems in these powders translation to tablets are also solved technically to achieve good tablets.
