METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF CANCER OF LARYNX

A method for the surgical treatment of cancer of larynx provides for thyrotomy followed by the excision of the affected fold with scissors and electric scalpel. The electrodes are implanted into the intact part of the larynx at a distance of from the edge of the vocal fold. Then the radiofrequency thermoablation is performed with exposition time up to 2 minutes. Finally, the affected fold is resected guiding by the generated line of coagulation necrosis.
