PROCESS FOR PREPARING BEAD POLYMERS WITH AN AVERAGE PARTICLE SIZE IN THE RANGE FROM 5 TO 40 .MU.M, MOULDING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING BEAD POLYMER, AND MOULDINGS AND PAMA PLASTISOLS
The invention relates to processes for preparing beadpolymers with an average particle size in the rangefrom 1 to 40 µm, in which a polymerizable mix whichcomprises at least 50% by weight of (meth)acrylates isdispersed in an aqueous phase and polymerized. Thedispersion, stabilized using an aluminium compound, isprepared at a shear rate = 10 3 s -1.The bead polymers prepared by the process of theinvention are particularly suitable for producingmouldings with a matt surface. The bead polymers maymoreover be used advantageously in PAMA plastisols,dental compositions, and for production of plasticmoulds, in particular for the ceramics industry.
