#$%^&*AU2011100769A420110804.pdf#####Abstract This program is designed to assist people in obtaining a Development Approval (also known as Planning Approval) from their Local Government to develop their land (for example build a house, patio, multi storey apartment etc.) by providing a report to submit with their application to justify their proposal where there is a proposed variance from the acceptable development standards. The user accesses the program and is required to enter their login details. From there the user selects the number and type of variations and is prompted to answer a series of questions. After the user has answered all of the questions, the program will provide the probability of the variations being approved. This is calculated based on the answers given (for example if the user selects answer 'a', 5% probability may be added whereas if the user selects answer 'b', 5% probability may be deducted etc.). Once this has been completed the user advances to the next screen where the program, based on the answers given in the previous step, will prepare a customised report for the user to be submitted with their application for Development Approval. The program also features the capabilities of generating letters to be sent to any affected neighbours informing them of any variations and requesting their comments.
