METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN NON-LISP SITES AND LISP SITES

A method for communication between non-Locator Identifier Split Protocol (LISP) sites and LISP sites is provided, which includes: an Egress Tunnel Router(ETR) of the LISP site network assigns a routable address in a transport network to a target host requested by the Domain Name System (DNS) request message which is sent by the network side of a non-LISP site; a one-to-one corresponding relationship between the End point Identifier (EID) of the target host and the routable address is established; and the routable address in said transport network is sent to the network side of the non-LISP site. An ETR and system of LISP site network is also provided by the embodiments of the present invention. Because the ETR enables the non-LISP site network to access LISP site network by assigning a routable address in the transport network to a target host and establishing a one-to-one corresponding relationship between the routable address and the EID of the target host, adding hardware such as Proxy Tunnel Router (PTR) in the network is not required, thereby effectively reducing the implement difficulty and implement cost.
