METHOD FOR PROTECTING ROADBEDS IN FROZEN SOIL AREA AND PAVEMENT STRUCTURE

A method for protecting roadbeds (7) in frozen soil area and a pavement structure are provided. The method comprises laying two-layer or more than two-layer road surface layers (4,5,6) with gradient thermal conductivity structure on the roadbed (7) and making the thermal conductivity of the road surface layer (4,5,6) distribute descendingly from top to bottom. Consequently, an one way heat transfer passage from the roadbed (7) to the air is formed on the road. Heat emanates easily from the roadbed (7) to the air, and the heat quantity in the air is stopped from transferring to the roadbed (7). The method can cool frozen soil layer under the roadbed (7), maintain stability of frozen soil and protect the roadbed (7) in frozen soil area.
