Method and device for testing the air permeability of textiles

The device has a measuring chamber (20) including a recess (15) for receiving a textile sample (1). A fan (27) is coupled with the chamber such that air flows under the textile sample. A differential pressure sensor (30) acquires differential pressure between two sides of the textile sample, and an air sensor (26) acquires the volume air flow in the chamber. A temperature sensor (25) acquires the temperature value within the chamber, and a control device (32) computes air permeability of the textile sample based on the differential pressure between the two sides of the textile sample. An independent claim is also included for a method for the examination of the air permeability of textiles.
