METHOD FOR MANAGING ETHERNET RING NETWORK OF VLAN-BASED BRIDGE USING ETHERNET RING PROTECTION SWITCHING TECHNOLOGY

PURPOSE: A method for managing Ethernet ring network of VLAN-based bridge is provided to changes VLAN network topology into VLAN topology suitable for Ethernet ring protection change over.;CONSTITUTION: An ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) control unit request a registration of MVID(Major-ring VLAN ID)(S13). The ERP control unit registers MVID to a ring port filtering database of a node. The ERP control unit transfers a GVRP(GARP VLAN Registration Protocol) registration message through the GIP(GARP Information Propagation) functional unit(S15). Each node transfers the GVRP registration message through the ring port to the other node(S17). If each node receives its own GVRP registration message, MVID or the VID registration about all ring ports of each node are completed(S18).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
