PURPOSE: A displacement meter using a fiber bragg grating sensor and a method of measuring the displacement of a structure using the displacement meter are provided to enhance the precision on the measuring result of displacement since the fiber bragg grating sensor is used for measuring the displacement of a structure.;CONSTITUTION: A displacement meter using a fiber bragg grating sensor comprises water tanks. The water tanks hold fluid and are communicated with each other so that fluids are communicated by a pipe. The level of the fluid changes according to the vertical displacement of a structure at an installation point. The water tanks comprise a reference water tank(S1) and general water tanks(S2,S3). The reference water tank is located at a reference point since the displacement of the reference water tank does not occur according to the installation position of a target structure. The general water tanks are located at a position to measure the vertical displacement.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
