PURPOSE: A method for preparing carboxylate on the surface of precipitated calcium carbonate using acidic amino acid is provided to apply the organophilic property to the surface of precipitated calcium carbonate by stirring calcite and acidic amino acid aqueous solution and calcite and absorbing organic materials on the surface of the calcite.;CONSTITUTION: An acidic amino acid aqueous solution is prepared. The concentration of the acidic amino acid aqueous solution is between 0.01 and 0.03M at a temperature of 10 to 40 degrees Celsius. Calcite is mixed with the acidic amino acid solution to form a mixture. The mixture is stirred. The mixture is in a solid-liquid state and filtered to collect the calcite. The acidic amino acid aqueous solution is composed of L-glutamic acid or L-aspartic acid.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
