PURPOSE: A sepiocite compound derived from layered type metal double layered hydroxide and a method for preparing the same are provided to apply the physical chemical stability and the wide specific surface area, and the porosity to the compound through thermal deformation and hydration reaction.;CONSTITUTION: A sepiocite compound derived from layered type metal double layered hydroxide is represented by chemical formula 1. The compound includes a channel shaped structure. The channel shaped structure is similar to the crystal structure of sepiocite. In the chemical formula 1, M(II) is divalence positive ion. M(III) is trivalence positive ion. A is negative ion chemical species covalently bonded with hydration layer. x is between 0.1 and 0.5, a is between 0 and 2, b is between 0 and a, and y is more than 0.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
