PURPOSE: Method and device for manufacturing a mold for a hot press are provided to improve processing speed since a cooling unit is manufactured integrally with a mold as casting and thus a degree of freedom is enhanced in designing the cooling unit and a lot of drilling work is not needed in shaping a cooling path. ;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a mold for a hot press comprises next steps. An outer block, to which pressure is directly transferred when a hot press is shaped using cast steel is manufactured(S10). An inner block mold with a shape corresponding to the outer block to be able to be assembled with it is manufactured(S20). A cooling unit is inserted into the mold of the inner block and is integrated into the inner block(S30). Casting is supplied to the cooling-unit integrated mold(S40).
