FABRICATION OF POLYVINYL ALCOHOL/POLY(3,4-ETHYLENEDIOXYTHIOPHENE)(PEDOT) COAXIAL NANOFIBERS AND PEDOT NANOTUBES USING VAPOR DEPOSITION POLYMERIZATION MEDIATED ELECTROSPINNING AND THEIR APPLICATION AS A CHEMICAL SENSOR
PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of polyvinylalcohol/polypoedot coaxial nanofiber and polypedot nanotube is provided to easily manufacture nanofiber and nanotube consisting of conductivity polymer by an electrospinning-vapor deposition polymerization without using micelle templates. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of polyvinylalcohol/polypoedot coaxial nanofiber and polypedot nanotube includes following steps.(a) The PVA nanofiber is formed of the PVA solution on the sensor substrate through the electrospinning.(b) A metallic ion is introduced to the PVA nanofiber through a soaking process.(c) The PVA / PEDOT coaxial nanofiber and PEDOT nanotube are manufactured in the PVA nanofiber with the metallic ion through the electrospinning-vapor deposition polymerization of a conductive polymer monomer.(d) A detection means is offered to detect changes of electrical characteristics of the nanofiber and the nanotube by using the PVA / PEDOT coaxial nanofiber and PEDOT nanotube.
