SENSOR SYSTEM FOR A WALKING ASSIST ROBOT FOLLOWING USER'S INTENTION, WHICH RECOGNIZES THE INTENTION OF USER BY PRESSURE SENSORS INSTEAD OF VOICE OR CONSOLE INPUT
PURPOSE: A sensor system for a walking assist robot following user's intention is provided to perform accurate motion according to the intention of user by using pressure sensors instead of voice or console input. ;CONSTITUTION: A sensor system for a walking assist robot following user's intention comprises a plurality of sole pressure sensors(110), a crutches pressure sensor(120), and an information processing part(130). A plurality of sole pressure sensors is installed on a floor of both sides footwear(320) of a robot. The crutches pressure sensor is installed on the bottom of a crutch(330) of a robot. The crutches pressure sensor senses the contact between the bottom part of the crutches and the ground. The crutches pressure sensor outputs a designated value within a pre-set range. The information processing part is installed in a main body part of robot. The information processing part outputs command to operate a walking assist robot according to the intention of a user.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
