CONTINUOUS CATALYST SYSTEM FOR REFORMING METHANE AND OXIDIZING CARBON MONOXIDE BASED ON A NANOPOROUS CATALYST CAPABLE OF OXIDIZING THE CARBON MONOXIDE INTO EASILY ELIMINATABLE CARBON DIOXIDE
PURPOSE: A continuous catalyst system for reforming methane and oxidizing carbon monoxide based on a nanoporous catalyst is provided to convert the methane into hydrogen and carbon monoxide and continuously oxidize the carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide.;CONSTITUTION: Nickel particles are carried in nanoporous alumina. Methane is converted into carbon monoxide and hydrogen under an optical reaction condition. In the optical reaction condition, the temperature is 750 degrees Celsius, and the content of a nickel catalyst is 16 weight%. The converted carbon monoxide is oxidized into carbon dioxide by carrying platinum particles in alumina. The carbon dioxide is capable of being relatively eliminated.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
