PURPOSE: Device and method for adjusting the height of a direct-fired-furnace burner are provided to maintain constant distance between a target and the flame of the direct-fired-furnace burner.;CONSTITUTION: A device for adjusting the height of a direct-fired-furnace burner comprise a sensing unit(10), a control unit(18) and a driving unit(14). The sensing unit is installed on the raw inlet of a sintering unit at an interval from a target entering the raw inlet and senses distance to the target. The control unit outputs a height adjusting signal on the vertical movement of the direct-fired-furnace burner based on a signal from the sensing unit. The driving unit moves the direct-fired-furnace burner based on the height adjusting signal. The closer the distance to the target is, the higher voltage value the sensing unit outputs.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
