PURPOSE: A pelletized activated carbon based on plant biomass and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to simplify manufacturing processes using biomass byproducts.;CONSTITUTION: A first mixed raw material including lignin-based biomass byproducts and a pitch binder is prepared. A second mixed raw material including black liquor is prepared. The first mixed raw material and the second mixed raw material are mixed and pelletized. The pelletized product is thermally processed. In the first mixed raw material, 1 part by weight of the lignin-based biomass byproducts and 0.1 to 3 parts by weight of the pitch binder. The second mixed raw material further includes a sugar solution. The thermal processing process is implemented for 1 minute to 10 hours at a temperature between 500 and 1200 degrees Celsius.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
