PURPOSE: A fuel economy type temperature controller and a method thereof are provided to save fuel by driving an ECV compressor and changing an air mix door.;CONSTITUTION: A fuel economy type temperature controller comprises a rack gear(100), a cable(300), a potentiometer and a gear interworking unit(200). The rack gear comprises a planar portion and a gear portion. The gear portion is consecutively formed from the planar portion. The cable is extended or compressed by the horizontal movement of the rack gear and driving an air mix door. The potentiometer outputs the control signal of an ECV compressor according to the pattern resistance value. The gear interworking unit drives the rack gear and potentiometer with the gear interworking.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
