PURPOSE: A capping agent is provided to improve chemical stability and heat resistance of polyphenylene ethers by removing the terminated-OH group of polyphenylene ethers.;CONSTITUTION: A capping agent for the terminated-OH group of polyphenylene ethers is represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1-R5 are independently H, or C1-C10 branched or linear alkyl group. The polyphenylene ether compound is represented by chemical formula 2. . In chemical formula 2, R1 and R5 are respectively a simple linker, H or C1-C10 branched or linear alkyl group; R2, R3, R4, R6 and R7 are H or C1-C10 branched or linear alkyl group; and n is 20-1000.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
